Where global platforms shine
If your customers come from dozens of countries, a global platform's document library is hard to beat: thousands of document types, many verification methods, and integrations with large data providers. Several of them also offer business verification, transaction monitoring and, for some, on-premise options.
Where Konnect ID is different
- Local documents read properly: the Tunisian ID card in Arabic, front and back, with no machine-readable zone to lean on.
- Arabic, French and English for every screen, right-to-left included, written for the region's customers.
- Self-hosted edition: a compiled image on your servers, with your database and storage, for data that must stay in the country.
- Every decision explained: each check reports what it found, and automatic decisions record the rule that fired.
- Built with regional rules in mind, such as BCT Circular 2025-06, and a team in the same time zone as yours.
- Used in production by mobile money, remittance payouts and merchant onboarding.
Questions to ask any vendor
- Which of my customers' documents do you read today, and how do you handle national ID cards without a machine-readable zone?
- Where is data processed and stored, and can I run it on my own infrastructure?
- Can a reviewer see why a case was flagged, check by check?
- Can I set thresholds and rules per product, and change them without a release?
- What evidence do I get for my regulator: case reports, audit logs, test results?
- Who supports me, in which language and time zone?
When to choose which
Choose a global platform when your customers are spread across many countries and you need the widest document coverage. Choose Konnect ID when most customers are in the region, when data must stay in the country, when Arabic and French matter, or when your regulator expects you to explain every decision. Some teams use both: Konnect ID for their home market and a global platform for the long tail.
